about

The lyrics in the chorus were originally

"Loving is easy when you're dumb as a door bell"

until Jay Deluca kindly pointed out that that didn't make any sense. He told me I had the idiom all wrong. What I really meant was "dumb as a door nail." Thanks, Jay.

lyrics

I let my finger say what they want
I've got no control
I want no control
I disconnected my head from my heart
Don't know no love songs
I can't sing you none

I'm like a blind man lost in the dark
I can talk that talk, but i'm a docile dog a heart
There's no rope I can hold or let go
Just a stone I roll
But I've got no control

Control, control, control...
Loving is easy when you're dumb as a doornail

I want to sing to you like a violin
I've got no control
I want no control
I'm like a flash in a pan in the dark
I've got no control
I want no control

Control, control, control...
Loving is easy when you're dumb as doornail

I want to move like the melody halftime
I've got no control
I want no control
There's no rope I can hold or let go
Just a stone I roll
But I've got no control

I got no control
I got no control
Give me no control
I want no control
I want no control
Give me no control

Loving is easy when your dumb as a doornail
